On this first day of spring, the farm and plants are coming alive. Bright yellow forsythia flowers open with warming days, an indication to start planting seed in the ground. The hardy garlic we planted last fall looks great in the field. And it won’t be long before seedlings in the greenhouse are transplanted outside, then come summertime we’ll be enjoying their fruits.
